Every year, the same window opens.

From late June through August, demand for private aviation in Europe reaches its highest point of the year. The French Riviera, Sardinia, Mykonos, Ibiza, Croatia. Airports that operate at normal capacity in March become some of the busiest in the world by July.

For aircraft owners and operators based in Latin America, this window creates a specific opportunity  and a specific set of operational requirements.

The logistics behind a transatlantic positioning

Moving an aircraft from Argentina, Uruguay, or Brazil to Europe for the summer season is not a single flight. It’s a coordinated operation: ferry flight permits, overflight authorizations across multiple jurisdictions, fuel planning for long-range legs, and ground coordination on arrival in a market where slot availability tightens significantly during peak months.

The earlier this process starts, the more options remain open. By the time July arrives, the best slots at the most in-demand airports are already allocated.

What Aerowise coordinates for summer positioning operations

Full trip support for transatlantic flights. Overflight and landing permits across South American and European jurisdictions. Handling coordination. Documentation support for temporary aircraft exportation.

For operators planning to position aircraft to Europe for the summer season, the planning conversation should already be happening.

If it hasn’t started yet, now is the right time.
